Recommendation: Conduct the first reading and introduce “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Coronado, California, Amending Paragraph C of Section 2.46.020 of the Coronado Municipal Code Regarding Design Review Commission Membership;” and direct the City Clerk to read the title of the proposed ordinance.
REPORT ON THE FREE COMMUTER FERRY AND TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE 8 FUNDS
Recommendation: Receive report on the commuter ferry and Transportation Development Act Article 8 funds and provide direction as appropriate, and consider whether to authorize a new contract with Flagship Cruises and Events to continue operating the free commuter ferry.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE MAJOR, MODERATE AND MINOR SPECIAL EVENT REQUESTS FOR 2023 Recommendation: Receive a report on 2023 Special Event applications, requested waivers, and alternate recommendations and provide direction, as appropriate.
Staff recommends approval of all applications as submitted, with the proposed alternatives for the Freedom Fest Cornhole Tournament and Crown City Classic, approval of the seven alcohol waiver requests and approval of in-kind facility use request for Coronado’s Talent VIP Party.
